This stunning sculpture by Liu Qiang is an accurate depiction of humanity’s use of, and utter dependence on other animals and, in particular, the savage and bizarre habit of consuming the breast milk from mothers of other species—milk that these mothers have produced for their own babies, babies that we forced them to become pregnant with only to kill shortly after birth so that we can take the bereft mother’s milk, milk that we drink as though we were the children that we murdered. News flash:

Sex is natural.

Sex is beautiful.

Sex can be shared with one partner, many, or none.

You can have as much of it.

Or as little of it as you’d like.

There is nothing wrong with sex. And nothing wrong with what you choose to do with it.

The only time sex is unwelcome, is when it’s…

1. The people in charge have all the answers.
That’s why they are so wealthy and happy and healthy and powerful—ask any teacher.

2. Learning ends when you leave the classroom.
Your fort building, trail forging, frog catching, friend making, game playing, and drawing won’t earn you any extra credit. Just watch TV.

3. The best and brightest follow the rules.
You will be rewarded for your subordination, just not as much as your superiors, who, of course, have their own rules.

4. What the books say is always true.
Now go read your creationism chapter. There will be a test.

5. There is a very clear, single path to success.
It’s called college. Everyone can join the top 1% if they do well enough in school and ignore the basic math problem inherent in that idea.

6. Behaving yourself is as important as getting good marks.
Whistle-blowing, questioning the status quo, and thinking your own thoughts are no-nos. Be quiet and get back on the assembly line.

7. Standardized tests measure your value.
By value, I’m talking about future earning potential, not anything else that might have other kinds of value.

8. Days off are always more fun than sitting in the classroom.
You are trained from a young age to base your life around dribbles of allocated vacation. Be grateful for them.

9. The purpose of your education is your future career.
And so you will be taught to be a good worker. You have to teach yourself how to be something more.

you know in like 20 or 30 years or so theres gonna be a section in history books dedicated to this time period where gays were fighting for their right to marry and suffering from discrimination

and the kids learning about it in class are going to be disgusted by the mere fact that gays had to even try to fight for what was rightfully theirs

Do you still look at dairy the same?

You know, two of my male friends said to me that the this was really weird / strange. They seemed perplexed by it. These two friends both are omnivores.
I just don’t think people see the connection, no matter how much we put it out there. And honestly, I don’t blame them, nor do I think they aren’t intelligent. It’s simply so well hidden by the industry. Most people think that dairy cows are happy animals roaming and eating bright green grass who are milked by cute little ladies with ribbons in their hair or a farmer with wellies and a hat.
Most people think animals for meat are living on a farm until the farmer kindly takes them away near the end of their lives to be killed. I know even this fairytale idea of it is enough to make people feel ashamed but still carry on eating it because of tradition. It’s crazy how warped the idea of this all is.
If only people who tell me that they ‘just love their cheese so much’ could actually see 100% what is going on, not just what they can imagine might be going on.
You would be horrified and that is exactly why you should see it.
The cruelty exists and you can put an end to it. Silence, indifference, that promotes it. Buying it shows your support for it. Make a stand against cruelty :)
